		<description>I have decided to speak of &quot;barley Nazis&quot; and as the Nazis blew up great grannie&#039;s house I consider it quite PC for me to do so.  Good of you to point out the &quot;enlightenment&quot; era source of grain tyranny. I understand from watching oodles of BBC and other UK archeology broadcasts that prior to a certain point, grain was not sown by species but mingled with the goal that every inch of ground would produce something even if the year&#039;s growning season was better for this variety as opposed to that.  That being the case, was there ever (as far as pre-enlightenmment ales) actually varietal beer?</description>
