Grand, except removing the likely libelous and falsely FOIA’d graph in the Wikipedia entry also got us shot of a line which wasn’t that far off the mark:

“As a result, many brewers now refer to the Plato scale as the Balling scale.”

I certainly do know people who call it the Balling scale.

I see a new thriller with Woody Harrelson as Balling – hunched over a bubbling chemistry set as he make the first hydrometer. But who is that sneaking past the door to the cellar? It’s the dastardly Fritz Plato and he’s got a broken bottle in his hand…
