Saw something similar in San Marino (a republic within Italy near Rimini). A variety of depot beers (Hiter, Il Duce, etc.). Broght a bottle home because no one whold have believed me otherwise. Seen that anywhere?

Also: Been to Plzen. Great brew tour (and in English). Sampled the brew lagered the old fashion way, un pasturized and unfiltered- heaven!

How did fascism hurt the Czech lands? The Italians never went near them. Surely it was Nazism that’s to blame for the evil done during WWII to the Bohemians and Moravians?

I once bought a bottle of Mussolini-labelled beer from a tatty gift stall in San Marino and gave it to my parents in Tuscany. “Birra della Storia” was the brand. I suspect that’s the same as your bottle: they do a variety of labels, featuring (to name a few) Bob Marley, Che, Stalin, Hitler on them…

I’m surprised that nobody has mentioned Stalinovy slzy vodka, a Czech product much favored by chatari in my town. The label used to feature a picture of Papa Joe but now demurely signifies him with crossed pipes.

Well, there’s a complete range of those with Benito M., Adolf H. and even Eva B. in various variations on the labels available in Italy, all with the same contents.
I don’t know who contract-brews it, but it’s indeed rather uninspiring pale lager in rather tasteless packaging.
There’s also a “rossa” (i.e. amber, or “red” lager) range with Ernesto G., M. Tse-Tung, Joseph S., Vladimir Illitch O. etc. as if keeping a political “balance” was an excuse for such poor taste. :o(
