I had the opportunity to taste some Italian beers, since I live near Italy, but unfortunately, all of the were high-volume industrial beers, but Moretti La Rossa did stand out of them, a very very good Vienna style red lager beer, well it was that good few years back when I tried it.

Never been in Italy and my experience with Italian beer are two very light and traditional lagers; Valerio Premium (Carlsberg) and Menabrea Premium. I found both in Denmark.

Yes, I'm quite proud of the collection — especially the snails. I'm looking forward to trying the KeTo Porter on a cool spring eve.

Other than Rambousek's excellent chestnut-honey lager from here in Bohemia, I'm not terribly familiar with chestnut beers. (And now I have three of them.) Does the head not last? Is there a specific problem you've found?

And Pivero, I've got something for you.

A fine selection. Northern Italy is possibly the most interesting region in Europe when it comes to beer now.
I have the Re Porter waiting for a tasting, and I've had some of the others. I have bought the Panil beers directly from the brewery, and have not had the problems reported in the US. Maybe they don't travel well?

There is one type of beer I have problems with, and that's chestnut beers. I don't think I have had any that were any good. Maybe there is too much fat in the nuts?
