Hey Kjetil, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the correction of Rogalands' home town. (I still have the map you drew, which I guess is why I put down Bryne instead. The post should be fixed now.)

The more I think about it, the more I remember liking Mack. So what other secrets do you guys have hiding up there?

(Note added): Lew, I agree completely. There's a place for kick-ass beers; there's a place for BBQ beers and picnic beers and table beers, too. And while I love those syrupy and complex 24° and 33° brews with 10 or 12% ABV, I'm not about to reach for one on a hot summer day...

I enjoyed reading Evan`s instructive and lively review of our two beers. There is no doubt about that Czech beers are better than what is brewed here in Norway. There is a little mix up between where we come from and where Rogalands Pils is brewed. Geir and me come from Bryne, Rogalands Pils is made by the Berentsens brewery in Egersund, a town about 50 km further south.

"You could argue that sometimes you don’t want a high-maintenance beer — sometimes, like when you’re yelling at Jankulovski, a beer that constantly begs for attention is the last thing you need."

Well-put. When I'm having a great conversation with friends old or new, the last thing I want is a beer that's so embarrassingly good that I'm constantly breaking the thread by saying, "Hey, but damn, do you taste that piney hop? Do you feel that slippery texture in the mouth? This shit's excellent!" Um...I'd really rather just keep talking politics, and be geeky in the same way everyone else at the table is being geeky.
