To Pivero- K Brewery Group purchased a minority stake at Svijany and Rohozec just last year. The big jump in sale from 40 thousands hectos a year in 99 to 260 last year is due the ownership of LIF(Liberecke financni fondy)...

I heard that Platan does not make any more the Knizeci 21 pale lager...

Hey Bailey — check your hand for an extra ace. I'm sure you'd enjoy a trip here.

Notable Czech wheats from bottlers: Primátor and Herold. From brewpubs: Klášterní pivovar Strahov (occasionally available in bottles), Pivovarský dům, Moritz, U krále Ječminka.

I'd be surprised if there isn't another wheat or two by the time you come. My understanding is that the new Pivovar Kocour Varnsdorf should produce a Rauchweizen as well.

That photo is making me think that a summer holiday in the Czech Republic might be on the cards. Are there any notable Czech wheat beers?

It's too early to say if this is good or bad news, but if we consider what these people have been doing with Svijany and Rohozec, who have grown considerably in Prague, while to a certain extent keeping the quality, then there are reasons to be optimistic.
I read yesterday in Svet Piva that they are also eyeing Ferdinand nad Regent. Can this be the birth of a new and very interesting player in the Czech beer market? or are this people just speculators?
PS: I agree with you. Platan should expand their line.
